
PLADCO, in collaboration with its Omani joint venture partner, is undertaking a landmark infrastructure project for the Public Authority for Special Economic Zones and Free Zones (OPAZ): the Construction of Access Road and Wadi Channel for the Proposed Development of Economic Zones at Dahira (EZAD).
This initiative is part of Oman’s vision to establish world-class special economic zones that attract investment, create jobs, and enhance trade and logistics. The project scope includes the full design, approvals, and construction of access roads, wadi channel systems, and associated infrastructure to ensure reliable connectivity and long-term flood protection.
As the lead contractor, PLADCO is responsible for obtaining all statutory approvals, coordinating with government and private stakeholders, and managing all site activities including borrow areas, quarries, temporary access, site offices, storage yards, and construction camps.
The project emphasizes collaboration with local and international subcontractors, ensuring opportunities for SMEs and regional companies while maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, and environmental stewardship.
